My name is Patrick Woods. I have worked for many

years in the film industry in NYC on a variety of projects that have included feature films, television shows, commercials, and music videos. All of it behind the cameras, in the art department.

This website contains work from another world entirely -  that of my own photography.

It is named for a little town that I know in southwestern Pennsylvania. The maps say it is Washington, PA, but

long before that it was criss-cross with Indian trails,

and at their fires it was called Catfish Camp.

My grandparents had a farm there, and as kids we spent summers walking the creeks, pant legs rolled to our knees, turning over rocks in search of wonder.

Explorers, scientists, we were wild things.

Turn a page, and now Catfish Camp is something else again. But much like then, it is a place where the water always runs cool and clear, and you can still squeeze the soft mud up between your toes on a hot afternoon.

Might be just the ticket for when you need to get away from the routine. Pictures.

Many thanks for stopping by, and welcome to Catfish Camp!
